I cannot state enough how much I love Uwajimaya! While I've been shopping there for years and years, during Covid and the closure of restaurants in Seattle, they've been a lifesaver whenever I need my sushi fix. They sell sushi grade fish in small packages for making sashimi or nigiri, as well as the pickled ginger, wasabi, and everything you could possibly ever need to make sushi at home. I also bought all of the rolling mats, chopsticks, soy sauce dishes, even a sushi knife, all in the same spot. Their produce selection is gorgeous and you can easily find a lot of ingredients that aren't as easy to find in traditional American grocery stores. But beyond the sushi, they've got every possible Asian grocery product you can possible imagine, as well as hot foods, whole roasted ducks, gifts, everything. This place is amazing.
